every autumn my (already full) fashion wishlist begins to expand -to the point where i feel as if i am going to implode with giddiness if i get one more Athropologie catalog in the mail. you know what i'm talking about.
oh, i am fine with browsing thru etsy or getting the old j.crew mag in the mail -even window shopping is great. but please, it's nothing like intentionally buying that one piece that you love, that you just can't live without. that you've had your eye on for months. that my friends, is a joyful experience. call me simple but there's nothing like a game of grown-up-girl-dress-up. especially when there are boots and scarves and jackets involved.
so here's to your "must have" purchases. that hand printed vintage skirt that still takes your breath away when you open your closet. the variegated linen bag that you take with you everywhere, it was worth every penny. your new wool peacoat with the big brass buttons, yes, you will wear that for the next 10 years and still look fab in it. oh, and don't forget (as if you could) those gorgeous caramel brown leather stacked boots, the ones you wanted to have a public commitment ceremony with. yes!
my favorite fall fashion picks, for your viewing pleasure....
happy weekend shopping.

autumn brings so much comfort to me, it's by far my favorite season. i love the colors of the changing leaves, the cool air and the overcast sky. ehem, not to mention cute jackets and boots! -anyway... one of my favorite things to do in the fall is pick out a few books to read every month. this year i'm going to try to set aside an hour or so every other day to just have my own time and get lost in a good novel. just thinking about curling up in a comfy blanket, maybe in an armchair set off into a corner with a little window letting sunlight in, it just gives me goosebumps! don't forget the hot coffee and pastries! add a few friends and you've got a bookclub. these picks are my ode to literature, or a good book, or just enjoying some down time in a quiet place.... with a few shout outs to some of my favorite authors/books. hope you love!
